The school’s charter was granted in March 2006. The school is currently under contract for an initial six-year, renewable term.

Our students come from diverse socioeconomic groups and represent the demographics of our community.

We are a tuition-free, publicly funded institution and offer free transportation.

WHAT ARE CHARTER SCHOOLS?
Charter schools are public schools that have a contract with a school district. They serve a unique population or a specific community need, yet are held accountable for academic achievements and financial management by both the Local and State Districts.

  MISSION & VISION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide a unique middle and secondary school experience utilizing the latest research-based methods of instruction within a small-school environment that maximizes each student’s potential and abilities and prepares students for the challenges of the modern world. Our vision is to help youth acquire the skills they need to be successful in college and/or work and to have a voice in co-creating a world they can believe in.

WHAT IS THE CHARTER SCHOOL OF FT. PIERCE?

  WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE?

  • We understand that large, traditional schools are not for everyone.
  • We provide a small, personalized, safe and secure environment where every student matters.
  • Our teachers are certified and highly qualified. They are passionate about their subjects, and they care about ALL students.
  • Our innovative programs prepare students for both careers and college. We encourage Dual Enrollment at Indian River State College (IRSC), we enroll qualified students in Florida Virtual School, and we offer Work Experience credit for those on high school level.
  • CSFP offers a self-contained sixth grade experience! Sixth-graders stay with their primary teacher for most classes, rotating only for PE and electives. This gives sixthgraders an easier transition from elementary to secondary school.
  • You can be a stakeholder in your student’s school. CSFP cares what families think.
  • Students enrolling now will be able to stay at the same school through graduation from high school. Next year, grade 11 will be added; grade 12 is coming the year after.

  WHAT IS THE EDUCATIONAL FOCUS?
The purpose of the school is to provide an innovative, standards-based educational choice focusing on high student achievement for all, citizenship skills, and personal as well as social responsibility.

  ADMISSION INFORMATION
Admission is open to all age-appropriate students in grades 6-10. We provide free transportation for students residing within the Green Zone and offer early and extended hours of operation for those who do not receive bus services.
